I Have too Much Time on my Hands

Hello, hello

Not much happened today. It was rather boring. I slept in a tent last night! That was exciting! I went out around midnight and I feel asleep instantly, but woke-up three times in the night. Today I went to grab my stuff from the tent because it was starting to rain. I ended up getting stuck in there for a good twenty minutes because it started pouring!

I have a huge list of television series that I want to watch. Yes, I know I have too much time on my hands. I had ten series on my list, but I finished The Big Bang Theory.  I have been trying to finish Nip/Tuck, but it has so much drama now. I mean I know it is a drama, but still! The third season was my favourite season so far. Each season gets more and more messed up. I guess I'm just like "com'on! This is stupid!" Am I the only one who gets like that? haha Am I the only one is a good song! I will have to put the video in.

When I got home Hawaii Five-O was just starting. That just happens to be on my list.  American Dad, Arrested Development, ER, Full House, Hawaii Five-O, How I Met Your Mother, Nip/tuck, Rome and The Sopranos.  Now that I'm watching Hawaii Five-O I realize that this show sucks. I might take it off my list.

News:

In Greece a trade union began a 48-hour general strike. Huge crowds of protesters are expected in Athens and public transportation is going to be at a halt. Greece could run out of money in a matter of weeks if the EU and IMF withheld 12billion Euros. France said that French banks are ready to offer 30-year loans to Greece.

Greece ended up in debt because they changed to the euro which made it easier for Greece to borrow money. Greece went way over budget on many things such as the 2004 Olympics. The Greek government spent more on benefits and received less in taxes when Greece was hit by the recession. When the government increased taxes more people started evading taxes.

Wine Review....

Hey there!

I am going to start off with my recap of my weekend. Friday night I went to a grad party and had a bit too much wine. Well I guess not too much, just the right amount. lmao! Poor Kara. "Tell Jake to pull over" Me "JAKE PULL OVER!" haha it was funny.  Saturday was just a bumming around day. I went to Sean's and watched a good called....The Family That Prays....something like that. Tyler Perry was really good. Today, I worked in the morning then went to Andrea's for a swim :)

This summer will be me wine summer. I can just tell. It's more expensive in the long run, but I think I can do it for one summer. So far this summer I have had Yellow Tail wine. I have tried two of their wines, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is my favorite. The Shiraz was good too! I would definitely buy both again.

I have decided to try and stay off Facebook for 7 full days. Let's see how that goes. I don't think it will be that long. I bet it will be one day. That would suck so much!! I should reward myself with something. The days I work will be easier to stay off facebook. I am addicted so I'm trying to quit cold turkey.

NEWS:

mapThere was a deadly bombing in north Nigeria killing at least 25 people and many wounded. The attack was apparently in a beer garden. An eyewitness said they heard " a loud bang followed by sporadic shootings and plumes of black smoke filled the area with people screaming and running in all directions."

The same group responsible for this attack has been attacking police headquarters. The group's trademark has been shooting from their motorbikes.

That's all for now. I am trying to stay on top of it, this week. It's a short one tonight. I will try and beef up my blogs. They have been lame lately. Sorry about that. Leave a comment if you feel like it.

It's Been a Long Time

Hey folks,

It's been awhile. My bad, I have been lazy. There has been lots going on, but it's all personal stuff that's not fun.  I registered for classes today!! That's exciting! I am taking Spanish! How cool is that?! I wanted to take French, but Spanish will do! As long as I am taking a language! I am also taking Classical Greek Civilization studies :D Geography too! I think I will like this school year so much better! I mean, I liked business, but it didn't scratch my itch. I think this year will :D I am more excited this year than I ever was lat year.

I have had the week off and guess what kind of weather we have been having? Rain! Of course the one week I have like 4 days off it rains! It can't be nice, that would just be nice for me. Today, the day one I work it's nice out. Just like Tuesday I got my legs waxed and I was so excited to wear shorts, but it rains.

Sorry Abbytard! I am not keeping up on my blogs. I made the poll  for like 3 or 4 days. I thought it would make me come back and write in 3 or 4 days, but I forgot. My bad. The was was what month is your birthday in. I think I'm going to open that one again plus a new one. I want to see when everyone's birthday is.  The new poll will be... What is your favourite fruit?

News:

According the the BBC news podcast, people in Syria have been fleeing to the broader of Syria and Turkey. The people are escaping deadly protests. On the Turkish side of the boarder you can hear the gunfire and see Syrian people.

At least ten people have died in protests across Syria. Security forces have fired tear gas and bullets, but the Syrian state TV blamed unidentified gunmen for some of the deaths. Apparently more than 1,300 people have been killed  and thousands more detained since the March when crackdown on anti-government protests began.

That's all for today. Hopefully it wont be as long before I do my next blog.

Rant

Hey there,

I really want to renovate a little house. A nice little bungalow that only has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom.  I love watching reno and decorating shows, basically most shows on HGTV.  I wish I knew how to flip houses. I want to marry a guy who knows his way around a house. It doesn't matter if he knows how to do plumbing or dry walling, he just has to know something. Right now I am watching the Nate Berkus Show. Today is about house proud people. I want my own house that I can be proud of. I want to put my own touches on a house.

This week I was only scheduled for one shift this week, but since I have been trained on cash I have been called in twice! I was so happy about that!! I really need more hours!!

I am itching to travel! It's been so long since I have been on a trip! The last trip I went on was 2010, I think. It was a big trip for me. I knocked off England, France and Italy. England and France were big ones on my list. Italy was a very pleasant surprise, I would strongly recommend Italy. I loved Rome!  I have almost been jumping out of my skin here! I need to go and see the world! I mean I know I am going away for school, but that is different. There is no culture shock there, mind you there wasn't much of a culture shock in Europe. It was really fun to be away and not have to worry about work or school. Tuesday evening I was in a travel mood. I was making a in depth itinerary, packing list, ways to save money, how to get around, when and where to go.

Last weeks poll was about summer jobs. It seems like cashier and sales people are the most common with 3 votes each. Instructor and labour intensive both got 2 votes putting that in second place. Apparently no one is a waiter or waitress, that surprised me.  This "weeks" poll will be.. hmm I don't know. Okay it will be  "What month is your birthday in?" This question is in honour of my friend Abbytard! :) Happy birthday!! I know it's not for another few days, but just in case I don't blog before then. Have a good one!

No news for today. I am feeling lazy. Leave a comment if you want to :) I welcome them.

I just saw a commercial for the Liberal party in Ontario. It makes me so proud to be from Ontario.

Saturday Night

Saturday night, dance, I like the way you move pretty baby. It's party time and not one minute we can lose be my baby (ohh ohh)

Man oh man! When is the last time you heard that song? I had such a nice Saturday!! I went to work this morning. I am pretty good at getting up in the morning. I know Abbytard and Maude might not think so since I skipped some of my morning classes, but that was only because I knew I could get away with it. When I got off work I went to the beach with Heather and Kaitlyn! It was super nice out! We were at the beach for a few hours. I am not sure how long we were there for, but I would say two or three hours.  After we got home we made dinner. It was so cute! I made the pork chops and Heather and Kaitlyn made the salad. It was so cute, I can't get over it.  It was such a Betty Crocker moment.  We also watch Going the Distance. That movie is really funny. It's one of those movies that you forget how funny it really is.

You know what I find so sexy? Well there are many things! Many many many things, but the one I am thinking about right now is men in suits! I am watching the new Sherlock Holmes and looking at Robert Downey jr. run around London in his sexy period suit.  Think about how little mens suits have changed in the last 200 years.

Thick plumes of smoke billow into the skyNews:

A chain of volcanoes has erupted in southern Chile. Columns of smoke have been rising from Puyehue-Cordon-Caulle volcano range. The volcano range is about 800km south of Chile's capital, Santiago.  Since the eruptions there have been a dozen small earthquakes recorded.

Volcanic ash has been drifting over into Argentina. This is the first time since 1960 that the volcanic chain has erupted.

I have been slacking in my blogging. My bad. I am going to start trying to blog every night. Anyways I better get to to bed. It has been a long, but every nice day. As always feel free to leave a comment :)

Late Late

Hello folks,

It's been a very long time since I blogged. Sorry about that. I have been spending all my time working or watching Nip/Tuck. It's a really strange show, but so addictive. Plus Julian McMahon is super sexy. It's about two plastic surgeons in Miami. There are drug lords, serial killers, and sex! Lots and lots of sex.

Tonight I went to my step sisters graduation.  It made me remember being in her shoes. I remember getting ready for the walk across the stage. The hour or so before we actually walked across. It was a happy that I never experienced before and I haven't since. I was so happy when I saw Kaitlyn walk towards the stage with the rest of her class, I almost cried.

I just started working again, so I could make money for school. I am a compulsive saver as I said before, and I am still in the hole! That's the last time I lend my mom money! I say that all the time, but it never is. The only person I don't mind lending money to is my dad. My dad always paid me back with interest because he felt bad for borrowing of me. Now a days it's me borrowing off him :P I pay him back, but without interest. Crap I went off on a tangent!

Okay, back to....being in the hole. I remember now. I have to finish paying off my lovely credit card. I have been good. I haven't not bought anything on it in almost a month!! :O Yay!!! Since I have been home from school I leave it at home. When it's in my wallet, it is too easy to pull it out and buy buy buy. When I buy, I say bye to my money. Hahaha You have to love the English language sometimes.

Last week's poll was about summer time :D Who doesn't love summer. The question was "What do you want to do this summer?" Camping and road trip tied for first place! No surprise there. Fishing came in second, that is actually surprising. I thought I was the only one, but apparently not. Nobody wants to do anything else, or maybe they just didn't want to leave a comment. I think people just don't want to leave comments. Oh well. This week's poll, well it's not really this week's poll since it's Thursday. How about summer jobs! What category does your summer job fall under?

News for today :)

An outbreak in Germany is from a new form of E. coli. Leading microbiologist believe that the E. coli outbreak will get worse.  The haemolytic-uraemic syndrome (HUS) affects the blood and kidneys.  1,500 people have been infected and 18 people have died: 17 in Germany and one in Sweden. Seven people in the UK have the infection. They all are thought to have contracted it in Germany.

In China at the Beijing Genomics Institute, scientists have reported the new form of E. coli was "highly infectious and toxic".  Many are surprised how fast this outbreak spread. It many continue for months and we may never know where it came from.

Leave a comment :) Sorry it's so late.
